Crash injures five

– A FOUR-wheel-drive was mangled and its five occupants taken to hospital in the aftermath of a single-vehicle rollover on Terranora Road at midday yesterday. The light blue Kia Sportage was travelling in an easterly direction when it lost control on a steep, windy section of road. The vehicle came to rest on its roof in a ditch after crossing to the wrong side of the road. The five occupants were able to exit the car before emergency services arrived. They all suffered minor injuries and were taken to The Tweed Hospital in two ambulances.

Surfer leaves car

– PROFESSIONAL surfer Dane Reynolds gave his car away at Snapper Rocks yesterday. Reynolds, who competed in the recent Quiksilver Pro, announced on his website he would leave the “Charlie Brown Time Machine” parked at a Point Danger car park, with the keys in the ignition. “Drive off like a bandit,” he told whoever found the car
